Worship in School

The Parish Mass takes place in the Key Stage Two Hall once a week and is well attended. Classes attend in rotation with each class from Years 2 to 6 leading a Mass once per term. Masses for the school Years 1-6 occur on Holidays of Obligation and are celebrated in the Parish Church. Parents and the wider community are invited to attend all Masses. Each classroom has its own prayerful corner and daily prayers are said in the classrooms.

During Assemblies we support the children in discovering their Faith. Liturgical events such as Easter, Christmas, and Holidays of Obligation are celebrated and explained to the children. Current world events are explored. Prayer forms part of each assembly. Themes related to ‘Come and See’ are explored. Successes are celebrated during Friday Merit assemblies.

Each class leads an assembly once a term sharing their work and dedicating prayer, Parents and Carers are invited to attend.
