School Council

Our Councilors are elected by their classes and work together to discuss ways of improve the lives for those in our school, local and global community. This starts from Year 3 up and Year 2 become involved in the Summer Term.  The School Council Committee Meetings take place during school hours every Wednesday 12.30- 13.00.

One of their main roles is to discuss issues raised by their class, draw together ideas and make plans. Later they report back to their own classes about issues arising from the meetings.  Other responsibilities include organising fund raising events which range across the year.  We hold raffles, movie nights, jumper days, sports events to name just a few!

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for children! By taking part, children learn to listen to, discuss, reason about and explain issues of importance to the school as well as the wider community.
